Leave for Debrecen airport
It is 6.5 km from home, about 15 minutes with a little morning traffic. That puts us at the airport around 07:05, an hour and forty before an 08:45 departure, which is plenty at an airport this size.

Taxi from Heraklion airport
Meet the driver at desk 14 in the arrivals hall. He starts waiting 15 minutes after we land and waits 45 minutes, so go straight there after the bag. About 26 minutes to the hotel. If nobody is there by seven, call the taxi helpline below rather than keep waiting.

Between the four of us there is exactly one suitcase, bought separately and booked on Margó's ticket. Everything else travels in the cabin.

Warm and dry all week, 27 to 29 degrees, feeling like 30 to 33, and no rain. The wind picks up from Friday. The sun is strong every day regardless of the mild air, so hats and sun cream matter.
